Over 70 million sites use WordPress.
Russia has 144 million inhabitants. Most of whom only have access to official information provided by the Russian state. That is to say nothing.
WordPress provides plugins for sending newsletters.
If every WordPress site sends about ten Russian mails with information every day, the Russians will have access to the information.
My results
My site sends between 100 and 200 emails per day. Depending on the day, 10 to 20% are read. On average, 20 per day. If 1 in 100 WordPress sites did the same, the entire Russian population could be covered. No more Russian could say « we didn’t know ».
1/ How to get emails from Russian residents?
The 2 most frequent Russian mail providers are mail.ru and yandex.ru (more than 2/3 of the Russian market).
The 300 most frequent Russian names are listed below in this article.
With your favorite search engine, you can therefore search for 
name@mail.ru or name@yandex.ru (example: Polyakova@mail.ru).
Please be careful to keep the in your search.
This will send you email addresses, which you can save in your newsletter manager!
2/ How to send a newsletter?
Just install a manager for sending newsletters in WordPress (I use the one called « Newsletter »), save the email addresses found.
Every day, look for some interesting articles on a serious information site that controls its information (I visit www.nytimes.com and www.lemonde.fr) to copy a small extract.
No need to spend a lot of time there, long emails are not read. Personally, I don’t send more than 5,000 characters, knowing that I send the translation in 3 languages.

Neither do I !
I use Google Translate to send a translation of my excerpt.
3/ Writing and content tips
a/ Apologize for your grammar
The use of an automatic translator can reserve surprises.
I therefore mention at the beginning of the email (in Russian of course) « The texts in Russian are from an automatic translation. We apologize for the lack of quality. »
b/ Mastering your speech
Current events are dramatic.
But most Russians do not have access to any information other than official information. And those who will read your emails show their open-mindedness by this gesture.
It is therefore important not to use abusive terms and to do so to remain as objective as possible by sticking to the facts. Given what is happening in Ukraine, that should be enough to convince.
c/ Specify your sources and gain trust

Nobody likes spam… and it’s a crime. Remember to delete all the email addresses you have saved once this conflict is over.
